How to Style the Latest Trends for Fall
Fall is here and if you’re anything like me, you wait for this season to come almost as soon as it leaves, if not for the abundance of virtually pumpkin-everything, then for the best time for fashion. The new 2018 fall trends are now out in stores (see my post on fall handbags here) and it’s time to have a look to see if there are any to incorporate into your existing wardrobe. As mentioned in a recent post, creating your own personal style full of classic wardrobe pieces that represent you and your personality build the foundation for a quality closet. Trends are those pieces that can be sprinkled into your existing wardrobe to keep things fun and interesting while still staying true to your personal style. The current fall fashion trends for 2018 are bold, modern and give a nod to the past. All are incredible in their own right but below are the three fall fashion trends that are wearable and can easily adapt to your already killer closet.
It's no secret on just how much I love a classic leopard print so I was thrilled to see various versions on the fall runways. From A-to-Zebra and every print in between, the options were endless. If you're reluctant but intrigued by this trend, try adding subtle pieces like a thin belt, loafer or small clutch. But if you plan to rock the animal print trend for 2018 in full force than I suggest a faux-fur coat, pencil skirt or wrap dress.
A classic moto jacket, leggings, a sleek modern dress, all wearable and on-trend for fall. Many pieces can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. I love the look a black (faux) leather pants and a classic black turtle neck. It's so chic yet conservative. These pants from H&M are slim fit and budget-friendly.
LAYERS. LOTS AND LOTS OF LAYERS.
Layering is probably the best way to make use of your existing wardrobe and still feel on-trend for fall. Begin with the basic tee and finish with a jacket with multiple layers in between. You most likely have basic layers already hanging in your closet, you just have to rethink how you want to wear them.
