5 WINTER STYLE TIPS: HOW TO DRESS WELL & STAY WARM
Learn HOw to Layer without Feeling Bulky or uncomfortable
Dressing in layers is the key to staying warm through the winter but it is also the key to keeping your personal style in tact. The trick is to wear thinner layers that don’t feel too bulky and layers that are easy to remove and adjust when needed throughout the day. For example, a fitted cotton t-shirt or turtle neck make the perfect base to build the rest of your look. Add a button-up shirt, perhaps a classic chambray or flannel then layer with a thin colorful sweater. If you still want to add more layers, finish with blazer or lightweight jacket.

2. INVEST IN ONE CASUAL COAT AND ONE DRESSIER COAT
Yes, they can get expensive but having the option of a casual coat for everyday and a dressier coat one that you wear for the holidays or events can really make all the difference with your winter look. Opting for neutral colors makes them both more versatile as well.

3. Add Colors and prints with scarves
Scarves are the perfect way to add a pop of color or pattern to your winter look while still keeping you warm. Try a plaid blanket scarf or colorful striped version. The options are endless.
4. invest in high-quality boots
I recently wrote a post about the importance of investing in a pair of high-quality boots and think that having boots built to last the harsh winters and still stand as a great neutral for your winter look is essential to maintaining your style in winter. A practical winter boot, one that you can trek through the snow, slush, and rain act as the foundation for your entire look.
5. add a little flare with a signature hat
I remember hating to wear a winter hat when I was a kid. They were always so ill-fitting and frumpy looking. Now I love experimenting with fun new hats in winter. Pom-poms, berets and beanies all add that little something extra when incorporated into your winter look. Here are a few of my favorites this season.
